What you get

Two itinerary options — choose one or combine both.

Two different route options, custom-built around your travel dates and what you want to experience — not a template, but a plan shaped around your expectations.

Accommodation proposals per region

For each region you visit, I propose hand-picked local stays. My partner accommodations are pay on arrival — no prepayment, no money at risk, full flexibility.

All transport sorted

Car rental from my trusted Tico partner, taxi or shuttle when needed, boat or domestic flights when the route calls for it. Nothing left to figure out.

Review calls included

We walk through the full plan together on a video call. You ask every question. I adjust anything you want before you go.

WhatsApp group — departure to return

I create a WhatsApp group before you leave. Real-time tips, road updates, plan changes on the fly. I follow local news — if a road closes, you'll know before you're on it.

Cooler + SIM card + PDF guides

I lend you a cooler and a local SIM card for the trip. Plus a PDF bundle: driving guide, restaurant tips, local customs, what to watch out for — everything I wish someone had given me on my first trip.

Partner discounts

Promo codes and discounts for accommodations, attractions, parks, and activities — negotiated directly with local Tico owners, not booking platforms.

🇨🇷

100% Tico partners

Every hotel, guide, and activity I recommend is Tico-owned. Your trip money goes to the people who live here. And Costa Rica is the only destination I plan for — all my knowledge and contacts are focused on this country.

Every itinerary is different. So is every quote.

Several factors shape the final price.

$299 — $599
per trip
Trip duration
A 10-day trip and a 3-week trip are not the same amount of work.
Group size
Larger groups require more accommodation research and logistics coordination.
Advance notice
Booking 3 months out vs. 3 weeks out affects complexity and rush options.
Custom expectations
Remote regions, specific wildlife, niche activities, or complex multi-coast routes.
Travel dates
High season and Semana Santa require extra accommodation research and alternatives.
Rush delivery
Need it in 3 business days instead of 5? A $50 rush fee applies.

Two custom itineraries – examples

Different travel scenarios, different travel profiles — the fee reflects the work, and the work generates real savings.

These figures only count measurable savings — partner discounts and negotiated rates.
Time saved, mistakes avoided, and trip support aren't in the math.

Honeymoon couple

Romantic

11 days · 2 adults · booked 50 days ahead

The brief

First trip as a married couple. They wanted real nature, privacy, and places with romantic night stays. Activities mattered, but only in private — horseback riding for two, hot springs without crowds.

Behind the scenes

  • SUV through my car rental partner — right vehicle for this itinerary.
  • 4 lodges booked directly with local owners at 15% below booking platform rates, nothing prepaid. Before arrival, I called each owner personally to arrange specific touches for the honeymoon: flowers, a bottle of wine, room with a view.
  • Horseback riding (private), surf lesson, Sky Adventure, hot springs, coffee and cacao tour — all through local partners at negotiated rates.

The numbers

Saved
10 nights across 4 lodges (15% off platform rate)~$150
10-day SUV, Tico partner rate~$70
Sky Adventure × 2 (20% off)$44
Surf session × 2 (20% off)$22
Coffee & cacao tour × 2 (20% off)$20
Horseback riding × 2 (partner rate)$20
Total saved~$326
Costa Planner fee$350
Net resultEffective planning cost: ~$24 after measurable savings

What the numbers don't count

Full satisfaction with selected accommodations — not only because of the locations themselves, but also thanks to the small details arranged directly with the owners before arrival (flowers, wine, sunset view...)

Confidence throughout the entire trip, built through preparation calls, a fully reviewed itinerary, practical local advice, and active support through WhatsApp.

Moments that can't be measured: wildlife at the doorstep of the lodges, quiet places away from the crowds, and experiences that felt connected to the real Costa Rica rather than the standard tourist circuit.

Most of all, the comfort of knowing that every detail had already been thought through — allowing this couple to fully enjoy the unique, once-in-a-lifetime moments of a honeymoon.

Kevin, thank you again for organizing our honeymoon trip, it was perfect. We'll definitely come back to visit more regions next time. Pura Vida.

Family trip

Family & wildlife

3 weeks · 5 people · booked 90 days ahead

The brief

Family trip during school holidays. The priority was wildlife for the kids. Monkeys at breakfast, sloths in the garden, parrots at the window. Some beach and mountain time too. They were fine sharing a room and preferred separate beds, and had no interest in paying for luxury.

Behind the scenes

  • 4x4 through my car rental partner — some dirt roads, end of rainy season.
  • 8 lodges booked directly with partners at 15% below booking platform rates. Each property was chosen specifically because there is plenty of wildlife around the lodge. I knew this from having stayed there before.
  • Sky Adventure for a group of five, white-water rafting, coffee and cacao tour — all at negotiated group rates. Plus many free activities such as beach days and hikes in the mountains.

The numbers

Saved
18 nights across 8 lodges (15% off platform rate)~$405
3-week 4x4, Tico partner rate~$150
Sky Adventure × 5 (20% off)$110
Rafting × 5 (10% off group rate)$45
Coffee & cacao tour × 5 (20% off)$50
Total saved~$760
Costa Planner fee$490
Net result$270 ahead after the fee

What the numbers don't count

Selected accommodations where wildlife was so present that the family often chose to stay around the property instead of going to national parks, simply because there was already so much to see around.

During the trip, having direct support meant that if a road was closed or conditions changed, there was someone to react quickly and suggest a practical alternative without stress or uncertainty.

Moments that can't be measured: children spotting animals just outside the accommodation, quiet time together on beaches with fresh coconuts, and simple shared experiences that naturally happen when everything is already organized.

Most of all, access to the small local experiences that are easy to miss when traveling independently — a village festival, a recommendation from a local host, or an unplanned stop that ends up becoming a highlight of the trip.

We're back home and it's freezing here, we already want to come back. The kids keep talking about Costa Rica and all the animals they saw. Thanks for making everything so easy for us, it wouldn't have been the same without your help.

Accommodation — pay on arrival

All my Tico partner accommodations work on a pay-on-arrival basis — you pay the owners directly when you check in. In the rare cases where my partners are fully booked for your dates, I propose alternatives with the same no-prepayment approach whenever possible. No commission fees. No money at risk. Full flexibility.

★★★★★

I can't count how much time and stress we saved — or how many incredible places, without the crowds, we got to see. Both coasts, tailored perfectly for us by Kevin. Everything made us feel completely looked after. The trip itself exceeded all our expectations. Pura Vida!
