What Costa Planner is
Costa Planner is an independent travel-planning and consulting service run by Kevin Piórkowski from the Puriscal region of Costa Rica. I'm not a travel agency or tour operator — I plan routes, share local knowledge, and connect you with trusted independent Costa Rican partners for accommodation, car rental, and activities. By using this site or booking a service, you agree to these terms.
The services
Custom Itinerary, Consultation, the Digital Travel Guide, Car Rental arrangement, Expat Relocation support, and Farm Stay bookings — each described in detail on its own page, with its own price. What's included in each is whatever's listed on that page at the time you book.
Payment
The planning fee for the service you book (itinerary, consultation, or guide) is paid to Costa Planner directly. Accommodation, car rental, and activities booked through my Tico partners are pay-on-arrival — you pay them directly, not me, and I take no commission. I'm never holding your money for a hotel or car rental.
Revisions & changes
For the Custom Itinerary and Consultation, reasonable revisions are included until you're happy with the route — that's part of the service. If your trip dates or plans change significantly after delivery, tell me and I'll do what I can to help, but availability with partners isn't guaranteed.
Third-party partners
I personally vet every hotel, guide, car rental company, and activity operator I recommend, and I stay your point of contact if something goes wrong. But they're independent Costa Rican businesses, not employees or subsidiaries of Costa Planner — their availability, pricing, and service quality are ultimately their own responsibility, not mine.
Travel risk
Costa Rica is a real place, not a resort — weather, road conditions, and wildlife are part of the experience and outside anyone's control. Follow the safety guidance I give you and use good judgment. I'm not liable for injury, loss, delay, or expense arising from your travel, beyond the planning and advisory service I provide.
Cancellations
Life happens. If you need to cancel or change plans, email me as soon as you know — I'll work with you on a fair outcome case by case rather than apply a rigid policy. Any partner-side deposits or pay-on-arrival amounts are between you and that partner directly.
